Life tests first and gives lessons after. You will retake the test as many times as you need until you learn the lesson.
There is one lesson that Celestia has had to relearn far too many times. That lesson is that power can corrupt the heart of anypony. It is a lesson that Celestia’s ancient heart cannot bare to have to learn again. No, the loss of her dear Twilight has left a shard of ice in her heart that no pony can ever hope to thaw.
She spends every single day of this war hoping that somewhere in her enemy’s mind, lies the pony she once mentored. She spends every day, fearing that her hope is misguided.
This is the last page in my sketchbook.
It deserved a drawing that had lots of love and care put into it and that’s what it got.
No particular story with this one. I just knew I had to draw it once I saw that Twilight now has her own Sonic — Sparkle—Boom… or something.
Makes for some good friendly bonding. There’s no doubt in my mind Rainbow Dash would want to try this.
Oh Applejack, Yer’ so damn cute. I don’t draw you enough.
Hey look! New avatar.
For the longest time, my OC’s name has been Sylenth Stroke. I’ve come to find that the name is really just confusing in that most people don’t know what Sylenth is. (It’s a synthesizer in FL Studio)
So I’ve decided to start calling him by who he’s always been, Manjaro
Fluttershy has dedicated her life to helping any creature that comes her way, and those creatures have dedicated their lives to her.
What is your Dreamscape? Where do you go during Luna’s night?
I like to think Twilight visits other worlds, untouched by pony hooves. Filled with new possibilities and impossibilities. I like to think she doesn’t dream that she has wings. Equestria see’s her as Princess Twilight Sparkle while she still see’s herself as little ol’ Twiley. A unicorn with a knack for magic and a love for reading. Not some royal figure like Celestia, Luna, or Cadence.
Sometimes, Luna enjoys a good flight across Equestria just to take the time to appreciate her night sky. If there’s one thing she’s learned during her 1,000 years on the moon, it’s that it doesn’t really matter if any pony else enjoys her work. She does, and ultimately that’s all that matters.
If and when others admire her sky, well— that’s just icing on the cake.
This was inspired by the long awaited, Children of the Night video. I have to say, that video was absolutely worth the wait. You should go check it out if you haven’t already.
The wings just marked the beginning. I wasn’t a princess yet. The wings were the point of no return. I wasn’t a normal pony either. I still had much to learn.
I learned all that was required and then some. Towards the end of my lessons Luna and Celestia gave me a warning. That soon I would go through my true initiation. Not only into princess-hood, but god-hood. I had no idea what to expect. It came without warning. There was no earthly ceremony, no tradition, no audience.
It was one single moment. A threshold if you will. Like peering through an open seem connecting two worlds.
It was a moment that I will never forget. I saw — everything. I saw the creatures that dominated our world before us, and the creatures that may follow us. I saw where we’ve been, where we may go, and where we must never go. I saw everything from beginning to end all in one instant. It was beautiful and absolutely overwhelming.
Tense… It seems irrelevant in hind sight…
At least I know I am still me. Only I could see what I just saw and comment on the grammatical implications.
"The separation between past, present, and future is just an illusion; however persistent."
While Summer is a time for all to enjoy Celestia’s Sun and relish in it’s warmth. Winter is a time to enjoy Luna’s Moon, a time to enjoy the warmth of friends and loved ones. Let us not forget this, no matter what our rank. Should we become lost in the snow, know that the warmth of our friends will guide us home.
As someone who lives in Houston, TX. I don’t much care for the summer. I don’t like the heat. Sometimes i need a nice draw session to cool me down.
